Laguna Humantay is a brilliantly colored turquoise lagoon surrounded by spectacular snow-capped peaks. One of the most sacred lagoons in the Sacred Valley region, it is located at about 4,200m/13,780ft. 

Adventure to Laguna Humantay

Early this morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the expedition with a 3-hour drive, stopping for breakfast in the middle. Upon arrival at the base of the hike, you will have a brief orientation and then begin a 1-2 hour trek to Laguna Humantay. Pass through the beautiful flora and fauna, while on the lookout for wildlife. Your expert guide can point out some of the many bird species in the bird species popular in the region. 

When you arrive at the lake, you will be rewarded with stunning views of snow-capped mountains reflected in clear blue water. Be sure to snap some photos before descending down the same path for lunch and the return journey to Cusco. Optionally, you can choose to add-on several activities.
