Inca History at Palacio del Inka
Built for the conquistador Pizarro on top of an Incan palace, the hotel has retained many original architectural features and is filled with colonial and Inca artifacts, paintings and tapestries. The entrance and lobby are particularly impressive – the later a former open courtyard now covered with a glass pyramid and filled with museum-quality artifacts. Another open courtyard offers al fresco seating, a tranquil gurgling fountain and often has an Andean weaver and her llama to delight guests.
