This trip has it all jam packed into one Epic Peruvian Experience.

We start in the ancient Incan Capital of Cusco, make our way down to the Sacred Valley and the spectacular Piuray Lagoon.  Get our hands dirty and experience real Peruvian Life in the Andes as we meet locals and enjoy a community experience.  Travel by train to explore Machu Picchu, our ultimate bucket list destination. Later, we visit Palcoyo, the other rainbow mountain – same great trekking and views, but more off the beaten path!  Our Epic Adventure ends in the Heart of the Amazon Rainforest at an amazing jungle lodge – experience amazing jungle treks, night walks and canopy treks in our intimate jungle lodge.

Itinerary In Brief

Day 1: Cusco / Sacred Valley

AM On arrival to the Cusco Airport, we will be met by our tour leader and transferred to the Sacred Valley. On the way, visit Piuray Lake where we will enjoy a classic cooking class and a typical Andean lunch.

PM Continue travelling to the Sacred Valley where we stay for the night.

Day 2: Sacred Valley

AM In the morning we travel along Urubamba River to visit the town of Ollantaytambo and the archaeological site located in the town.

PM Continue with a visit to a local community where you will learn about their lifestyle and will be able to take part on their daily activities. Lunch will be included.  Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3: Machu Picchu / Cusco

AM This is what we have been waiting for, Machu Picchu! In the morning, travel to the train station located in Ollantaytambo to board the touristic train towards Aguas Calientes, the town located at the bottom of Machu Picchu. The spectacular train journey takes approximately two hours and follows the Urubamba River

PM Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, continue to the bus station for a twenty-minutes bus journey to Machu Picchu where you will enjoy a 2-2.5 hour guided tour. Later we return by bus to Aguas Calientes town. Enjoy an optional lunch in town and maybe a Pisco Sour.  Later we return by Train to Ollantaytambo and then take a private transfer back to Cusco.  Grab a bite to eat and a good night sleep.

Day 4 Cusco

AM In the morning head to the outskirts of Cusco to visit the archaeological sites surrounding the city. Start by visiting Sacsayhuaman, continue to Tambomachay, Qenqo and Puca Pucara.

PM In the late afternoon, get ready to learn more about the traditional customs and dances of Cusco by visiting the “Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo”

Day 5 Cusco / Palcoyo

AM We have an early start today on our way to the community of Palcoyo to start the hiking.

PM Start our trek with a 45 minute walk to the lookout point to get to look-out point where we are able to appreciate three rainbow mountains, the panoramic view of the Red Valleys and the Ausangante snow mountain, then continue walking for 20 minutes and you get to the “Bosque de Piedras” Stone Forest returning to the Combapata Bridge, and then to Checacupe Town and then to Cusco City.

Day 6 Cusco / Palcoyo

Today is at your leisure, you can relax, sleep in, and enjoy the city, or you can book an extra activity such as Whitewater rafting, mountain biking or a cooking class.

Day 7 Cusco / Puerto Maldonado

AM Today we say goodbye to Cusco and head to the Cusco Airport for our midday flight to Puerto Maldonado.

PM Weather permitting we will be on our speedboat in the early afternoon trekking in the jungle exploring exclusive jungle trails that snake between the roots of towering trees for an immersive introduction to the rich ecosystems of the rainforest.

Day 8 Puerto Maldonado

AM Enjoy a buffet breakfast before we head out to our first activity of the day. Climb an exhilarating Canopy Walkway for an unforgettable opportunity to observe the rainforest from its rooftop. Originally designed for scientific research, a sophisticated network of seven suspension bridges are strung between eight treetop observation platforms over 30 metres (100 feet) above the forest floor, with the jungle stretching out beneath you.

PM After lunch, take a 20-minute boat ride to an uninhabited river island where you can see the striking contrast of vegetation within the rainforest. Pull up to the large sandbank island and walk through jungle trails on this floodplain which provides the island with an ecosystem rich in birdlife.  At night, enjoy an optional night walk where we see the jungle come alive under darkness.

Day 9 Depart

AM Enjoy a buffet breakfast and travel by motorized. canoe back to the Puerto Maldonado airport for our departing flight home.
